But it’s up to the school, it’s not dictated

The rev share is a requirement - from the lawsuits. The breakdown by sport is dependent on the school, but all the SEC schools are going to give the vast majority to football

From the Dellinger article:
quote:

But can a coach rely on a school’s roster guarantees? Kiffin doesn't think so.
quote:

“There’s no way to figure that out,” he said. “Why do coaches choose places? This place has all this money, but you don’t even know if you can use it. You can have $50 million for the roster, but if nothing changes and the [lawsuits against the system] don’t come and if it really works how they want, you’ve got to prove these contracts are worth the work players are doing and the markets are going to come way down.” So, if you can’t rely on roster NIL guarantees and if the contract offers are similar, what’s the deciding factor?

I didn't think LSU was that serious.

You didn’t think firing a guy 34-14, potentially eating $54M, offering LK highest paid coach and asst pool, flying his family was serious?

Only with Delly’s report?

GTFO.

I know that. But the 75% amount isn’t mandated. LSU can give 78% to football if it wants.

One thing that I do wonder is if Jay Johnson sees all this and demands higher roster spending as well. He should.

To which Verge should say-“sure your sport can join in once y’all’s bottom line enters the black”

Sure. As could Ole Miss. As could Florida. As could Vandy. Most of the SEC is going to give roughly $15mil a year towards football. Some will be above and below - but it'll all be around there.

LSU knows that on Day 1 with Kiffin, that stadium would be packed to the gills. He will put asses in the seats before the ink dries. Money isnt an issue at that point. They know he can win here. Throw the bag at the man and let him work.

JJ realizes as do most people that the return on investment has a number that gets to be a moot point. Winning in football pays off bigly.

Winning in baseball has advantages sure but it doesn’t move the needle like a football NC does.

That rev share and NIL. Still a lot. Only a few are offering more and they're the richest in the country in money and the difference isn't much.

Y’all need to stop saying this dumb shite. Landry is literally just worried about taxpayers being saddled with a huge buyout. The contract could be written to avoid that and he would be happy

$1,000,000 for NIL is ridiculous.

Paid education, room and board, free medical care, stipend is all it should ever be.

The problem wasn’t the 18; the problem was the Kelly.
