This is Verge's way of telling Kiffin to shite or get off the pot because we're looking at others too.
It's like when I was in high school. There was this one party where this girl I really liked would toy with me by flirting constantly then stopped suddenly and started hanging with others. I was like "wtf". So I found this ugly girl with a rocking body and started talking to her the rest of the night. She was into me a lot then suddenly when leaving the party, the girl I really liked found me and asked me to stay. I was with her for over a year after that night.
Mission accomplished.
