It was Saban’s.

I'll say this, if it's not Kiffin, fans have worked themselves into a frenzy and there's only a couple other (unrealistic) names that would soften that blow to the psyche.

I don't think Kiffin is a Spurrier or Meyer (maybe he could be one day) so these reported offers are insane but I think Lane is seen as the "safest" slam dunk hire available. Which is funny because in years previous he was considered a risk. Hell, the next Meyer could be someone like Sumrall or Golesh for all we know, but the admin knows at this point that they can't risk it with one of those types of hires this time around. Unless things get extremely desperate.

I think the majority of fans would be very disappointed with Fisch, even if he may be a decent coach. I have literally heard nothing about Kliff smoke except from this Caw (real or imposter, who's to say).

Dude STFU,
You come on here acting like you are some major Ole Miss insider, and you know nothing.
Ole Miss has had a good run under Kiffin, and that will end here in the near term one way or the other.
LSU is a storied football program especially compared to the Black Bears who have not won s*it. LSU will be fine regardless of who coaches us in the future.
It will be comical to see the Grove “burning” when Lane leaves your “Hotty Toddy” AS*!

This feels like a Miles to Michigan moment.

Breaking the week of the game with Florida with so much on the line.

He’s going to get relentlessly confronted about this and will have to answer questions.

That would be the dumbest ultimatum. So, just fire the guy who gets you to the playoffs and give yourself no chance at winning a NC? How stupid are you people?

They're prideful. Not stupid. They let their pride dictate their actions. Where most people let logic dictate action.

Hmmmm interesting. So many done deals in this business. I’ll be interested to see how truthful this is.

“DONE DEAL”. My favorite phrase during these times. Only because about 99% of the time, whoever said it ends up looking like a clown

I mean if this is true, why would any program want someone like that coaching their team?

Kiffin / Sexton are working the market for as much as he can get from the Rebs. If they can just get close to what others offer, he’s staying in Oxford.

If Ole Miss gave Kiffin an ultimatum that's just clown show at this point. It really wouldn't help the stereotypes of their program being a doormat and explain they have 0 experience in these situations.

Every Ole Miss fan sit back, run it through your head without emotion, and tell yourself if it makes sense? Your most successful coach in like 60 years. I'm telling you guys Florida is getting Sexton'd.

LSU is not new to this rodeo which is why in last search they tried to avoid Sexton clients. If you think Florida is signing this guy in the middle of a playoff run you're pretty naive. Sexton going to use LSU/Florida openings to make sure all his clients get pay raises regardless if they're actually interested or not.
