I was told by Ole Miss fans that he was begging to go back to Oxford and wasn't returning to LSU.

Him being the highest paid SEC OC is fricking hilarious

I get it. You have to do it to please Lane but he is not worth half of that

Y’all just had to overpay to keep him for no reason other than you were feeling generous I guess?

This is the second deal. He signed the original deal right after coming to LSU.

LSU has one of the hardest schedules in the country next year. If they survive it and make a playoff it would be a work of magic from Kiffin.

It’s only overpaying when it doesn’t work.

It includes an annual "look-in" to always make him the highest-paid SEC OC.

What happens if another SEC OC has the same clause?

Says the fan of a team whose AD doubled everyone’s pay in an attempt to keep them from leaving and was unsuccessful with all but two on the offensive staff.

He got your middle school program where it is today so I believe a "thank you" and sit down is in order

**doubled for the post-season. I know collecting all the details not just some of the details is hard.

Y’all are gonna be in buyout shitstorm #3 soon enough

That is a stupid deal for a guy who isn't even the brains behind the offense and is likely quite replaceable
it gives Kiffin the best chance at success if his OC is consistent so they're working relationship is obviously very strong.

Id rather him not have to train a new OC/playcaller just yet so he can focus on portal, offensive concepts, etc

We do Ole Miss a favor by lending them our coaching staff, and they try to poach our OC. I guess this gives us an excuse to recruit portal players while we are there.

Underrated post!

Pistol duel. There can only be one.
Also, no one else is as stupid as we are.

I love it, but I think we must be counterfeiting money at this point

LSU is set to approve a two-year deal for new offensive line coach Eric Wolford that will pay him an average of $937,500 per year
Kiffin must really like this guy. That's big $$$$ for an OL Coach! (Many Rantknockers don't seem to like him though)
