I find it hard to believe Venables would leave to follow Dabo to Oklahoma when he was rumored to be a candidate at Head Coach. Why not at least see what Clemson would offer if Dabo left?

You could do better. Hell you’d be better off with Kiffin. His offense is a lot like Riley’s and there is far less shite for him to get into in Oklahoma so you might be able to keep him from causing too much of an outside ruckus.

I'm not convinced Dabo would leave Clemson for Oklahoma but it would be interesting to set an over/under on how many Clemson fans would jump off a bridge if he did

Hard to hire a good coach when your facilities are shite and the program gets completely ignored or even destroyed by its own AD.
Bringing in a good coach into a disaster AD/school support system is as good as putting on a fresh coat of paint on a car without an engine
