Not really.

If the deal for Jimbo falls through, what does that mean? Who's the #2 option? Does Les get another year? A new OC, and, if so, who? Is the recruiting class going to fall apart? Will the coaching staff (Wilson, O) be gutted, or will they mostly stay in tact?

Welcome to the soap opera, lol.

the way things are going it doesn't really even matter what da says tonight (if he is reliable) because things could change in 24 hours.

I want to preface this by saying I have no inside source, just a friend who is a big donor to TAF. He says this is all BS, and Jimbo is locked. Take that for what it's worth.

I don't know about DA, but random and some others do have sources. They probably should have laid off the done deal talk because when you're dealing with unofficial talks nothing is done. That doesn't mean these guys are full of shite, some on the LSU side probably did feel it was done.

Of course all of this "talks are dead" could be another smokescreen. Everyone just needs to chill and let this play out over the next few days.

At least once in every serious negotiation one side will feel like if they don't make a move, the deal is dead. I have no doubts that people are hearing the deal is locked, alive and then dead...that's what negotiations are supposed to do.

Keep in mind, if you believe Sexton used LSU to get a raise from FSU, why wouldn't you believe that he is now using FSU to milk the best deal possible at LSU? Basically, a reverse troll. He knows he has LSU over a barrel. The question is whether or not LSU will answer the bluff. And allegedly, the word is that they will and Jimbo's deal will be sweeter.

Again, though, he may go right back to FSU....

yep. roller coaster until the press conference. I'm sure dolphins fans were secure when they hear " i will not be the head coach at alabama".

This is nothing like that fiasco.

I hope he is right, but I would think Scott is a pretty weak source.

He had us over the barrel from the beginning. They didn't have to play any games. Just tell us the demands because it was getting paid.
