He wants to end his career at Indiana. He’s not going anywhere.

Cignetti’s new eight-year, $93 million deal – which the two sides announced in October 2025 – includes a Good Faith Market Review clause. It states if IU makes the CFP semifinal, the school must discuss a renegotiated contract with Cignetti that would bring his annual compensation to nothing less than the third-highest paid coach in college football.

This means he's already getting a raise. (I think he's 4th currently?) He's not going anywhere.

Who'd have thought that a team that was 9-27 in the three years before Cignetti with the worst winning percentage in CF history would be where they are now.

This is why you don't bet on sports.

It seems the media and a former NFL GM agrees with me.

Is it reasonable to say he's made one of the greatest program turnarounds in history?

It's up there right now. If IU wins it all, it will be THE greatest turnaround.

Why would anyone take a chance on the Raiders?

Two Humongous reasons:
1. Fernando Mendozo
2. Tom Brady

I don't think he has any interest in the NFL.

It’s #1.

Look at Indiana the 50 years before him then the first year with him. Now his 2nd year.

Maybe so, but why would he want to go to that dumpster fire? All of his experience is in college, and maybe he’ll learn from Saban that he should just stick to college.
