Although I can’t speak for the validity of this post I will say it’s as plausible as any other scenario I’ve seen mentioned.

Aranda as a backup sounds great. I think OU boosters looking at a 75m Big12 buyout cant bring themselves to come close to matching 96m, and I think Riley will not let a $96,000,000 contract pass him by.

Boosters put up a lot of money to get rid of O and let Woodward loose and we haven't heard a peep on the search from much of anyone, administration or boosters. That is saying something. If we didn't have a guy lined up there would be stuff flying all around from every direction. Feels like LSU and boosters are in lay low mode until this weekend because they already have what they paid for, they just can't open it yet
