This particular plane is flying from Houston to Hammond tonight and hasn’t been to Hammond before. It’s randomly coming into Hammond tonight. Let the suspense begin.

I live in Hammond. I might go camp out the airport and see what’s going on.

Might? You WILL. We have to see who gets on that plane and once it’s posted where it’s going next, if it returns to Hammond you have to get us pics.

I wonder about this every season

Just how common is it for Cessnas and other nice jets to fly in and out of places like Hammond or Gonzales? You could tell a few times a week basically never and I’d believe you

This is how netjets works.. they bring the closest available airplane. For instance, if you buy into/buy hours on a latitude, they don’t fly “your” latitude from California to pick you up. They grab the closest latitude and reposition it to that airport for you. Doubt this has any significance

The question is how often does someone fly from Hammond to Oxford? Or how many flights from the Baton Rouge area go to Oxford? I wouldn’t think that often. Is this just a coincidence? Just seems strange to me. This could be something.

The real hero of this entire situation if I’m being honest. His question lit the match.

Why not use the gonzales airport?

This is what I would have done. I wouldn’t want the ex wife rolling through NBR.

You should have seen all the private jets lined up at the Hammond airport when the Super Bowl was in Nola. That airport gets a lot of private traffic.

This plane is already scheduled to fly to college station after it leaves Oxford… not coming back here.

I can’t speak for Gonzales, but I worked at the Hammond Airport for 12 years, specifically the Army Airfield side, but my office was practically on the flight line facing the runway. Lots of small jets fly into Hammond Regional, couple a day on average.
