I realize it’s pointless to give an honest assessment here of someone LSU wants but the fact remains that our OL and OL evals were really bad with Wolford.

I think they came looking for validation and aren’t gonna believe it until and unless they see it with their own eyes, no worries.

In their defense it could just be an analyst role and not even matter.

If he’s getting the OL job… good luck.

Why would you hire a guy that runs a power blocking scheme based on having massive guys lean on the DL in the run game and tell him he needs to hire lighter guys who fit a different blocking scheme?

It’s like bringing in an air raid guy as OC and telling him he has to recruit guys to run a Kirby Smart / Mike Bobo offense.

I for one appreciate the insight. People act like coaches can do no wrong when hiring.

I remember getting killed on here when kelly was hired and I shite on Kerry cooks taking Corey Raymond's spot.

Most people on here turned on raymond and Brian kelly could do no wrong.

I remember those bama lines and they weren't up to the normal bama standard. I specially remember Chris Owens at tackle when someone mentioned him

I don’t love that two fanbases are knocking his coaching ability.

Glad Bama fans pretend like they’re a beacon of reason and it’s everyone else is that is delusional.

Kentuckys OL this year averaged 6’6’’ 322, which is perfectly normal.

Glad to see him moving on from Kentucky. Stoops should've never re-hired him after the way he bounced the first time. Decent recruiter, not great from a coaching standpoint IMO.

Great. So we fired Brad Davis so we could hire Brad Davis.

Looks like on average he is at a program 2-3 years.

This is a shitty hire if it's for o line coach.

The article said he is already at lsu working.

He’d only been there a year, none of the guys starting outside of anyone he pulled from the portal would’ve been his evals at that point.

But I’m not here to argue, entirely possible he just had a rough tenure in Tuscaloosa and will be fine for yall.

He might suck, I don’t know

But the post I’m replying to was about Alabama having fat, slow linemen. My point was, if the head coach doesn’t want that style of player, don’t allow that style of player.

A poster asked for our opinion on the guy. We gave it. No need to get defensive . It’s ok to have a conversation sometimes

So then offer your opinion and don’t talk down to LSU fans when you’re a mirror image of delusion.

I’ve already agreed it’s likely not good news when multiple fanbases don’t like him.

After Brad Davis, this needed to be a home run hire. I really hope someone else is coming aboard as the lead OL coach

I feel like some of these coaches just hire who they know or who is recommended.

They probably don't sit there and do any research about his last 2 years at Kentucky.

If you look at my post , I didn’t talk down to anyone .

ETA - I guess if we had said he was the best OL we have ever had , then we wouldn’t be delusional GTHOH
