Riley was handed a loaded team. They shouldn’t not be this bad on offense. There is no motion or creative play calling. People are thinking Riley is some offensive guru like kiffen and I just don’t see it. These schemes are not worth nfl HC money. You’re talking about paying him a few million more than saban.

Does every coach LSU is considering have to win 49-0 every week. Man you idiots are gonna be disappointed when we end up with a tier 2 guy

They were handed to him. He didn’t have to do anything.

I think hiring Riley would be a huge mistake. I’d rather roll with Aranda

Not really im kind of expecting this with LSU's track record of hiring coaches.

Has any coach ever had a better “first head coaching job” resume than Riley? Genuine question. People forget he’s 38 and this is his first job.

Switzer had 2 national championships by the time he was 38.

Good one.

Anyone else?

I’m not asking to be a dick genuinely curious. My cfb knowledge gets pretty limited before 2005 or so

I’m sorry this is not creative playcalling. If your really limited at qb why would the play caller call a pass out of his own end zone?

How has he done in his career against good defenses? we know he sucked against LSU but what about other top defenses? If my memory servers me correctly i dont think his offenses do well against top ranked defenses? am i wrong?

This right here is bullshite. There’s NFL coaches that come to Riley over the summer to learn what he did to the Air Raid. He’s a Top 5 hell Top 3 playcaller in the country

He joined Okla in 2015 as the OC after two very rough years at QB play at Oklahoma

Heisman voting since then

2015 Mayfield 4th
2016 mayfield 3rd, Dede Westbrook 4th
2017 Mayfield 1st
2018 kyler Murray 1st
2019 Jalen hurts 2nd

He is starting a freshman QB, but has a 5 star Jr on the bench. He wins the big12 because he has more talent than 80% of the teams in the conference.

Not sure how any LSU fan, of all schools, would not want a coach with that kind of QB reputation. If not for Burrow that's 3 straight Heisman QBs.

Matt Campbell had the 46th, 46th, and 59th recruiting class. He has his team neck and neck with OU/Riley, who had the 6th, 12th, and 10th recruiting class.
