EXACTLY. Sabotage and subterfuge...burning it down. Let's face it LSU's running game has been a disaster for years now.

He could still be assistant HC or associate HC and it could be a completely organizational role. There are ways.

You fire Frank and show him he’s not needed, simple.

Sounding like Frank is throwing a tantrum. We haven’t had a solid run game in years = Frank not producing

New Orleans highschool coaches play politics. I’d keep him around in some capacity to minimize that headache. But I’m not being paid the big bucks. It’s up to the boss.

100%. New Orleans recruiting is a whole other world and it benefit us to keep Frank even with NIL stuff

According to Moscona (I know)- Lane wants to bring Smith from Ole Miss but Frank has said he only wants an on-field role (and he can’t coach WR because that guy came from Ole Miss too). So Idk what Lane can do

Look this is nothing against Frank but even back in the day I knew that he wasn't some mastermind recruiter. I mean he wasn't good at UTSA where he should have done SOMETHING!

I am just glad that Fletcher has stopped tying Frank to Tulane.

What a dumbass statemen

When I was working different jobs to get to my dream job, I didnt call each new job or opportunity my dream job. It was just another job, the dream job was always the same.

If LSU was his dream job, then why did he say it was USC when he was trying to get that job or Ole Miss back in the day if it was actually LSU???

You know why just like I do, because the next job is his "dream job" just saying what he thinks people want to hear to persuade them to fall for his act.

Kelly isn’t Kiffin and won’t be telling recruits that call to make an appointment either. Any other hungry coach worth his salt in recruiting could make in roads in New Orleans using other methods.

Rappers rap about Lane Kiffin. He's a pop culture icon and has been for some time now. Lane doesn't really need a Frank Wilson like BK did.

I think this is what it is. Kiffin already said he planned to retain Wilson, but in a non-coaching role. He wants to choose his own RB coach, and Wilson is pissed. Sorry Frank, but this is the Lane Kiffin show. Either fall in line or GTFO.

Go hire one of those high school coaches. If Frank thinks he's too big to replace, you just replace him with one of the people he thinks he controls.

Didn't saban at Bama hire a coach from Nola for running backs?

Why not hire Burns and make him recruiting coordinator for Nola area or someone like him?

quote:

Few, if any, know Saban as well as New Orleans native Burton Burns, a 40-year coaching veteran who spent 11 seasons as running backs coach and associate head coach at Alabama. In that span, the Crimson Tide won five national championships.
