What’s this now?

Les promised he was going to change the offense, and they trotted out with the same old shite for the Wisconsin game at Lambeau for the first game the next year.

Oh. I thought you meant something more along the lines of giving Alleva the finger

I feel like the last several searches were crazier on this board

Agreed, but we’re really just getting started.

Yesterday will go down in TD lore forever, though

That's what he did when he stuck to his guns and didn't change the offense. He told Alleva he would change the offense, but he didn't do anything.

Well for Herman the ESPN broadcasters as well as the ESPN bottom line ticker flat out stated Tom Herman had agreed to a deal with LSU. This was during the LSU regular season finale against Texas A&M at college station.

FFWD a few days later Interim Coach O was named the HC.

Jimbo & Lincoln were way crazier than what’s going on right now. Epecially when Lincoln was supposedly having an affair in the football ops and to save his marriage his wife forced him to leave Norman. The whole Les, Herman, Jimbo, and O timeline was just was straight incompetence by Alleva.

Wasn't it over our refusal to pay his buyout at FSU? 3 million I wanna say.

Herman was never interested and never coming. 100% $ play against TX using Alleva as his pawn. It was O or Larry Fedora.

BOS was split on Jimbo so that wasn’t happening.

Jimbo was coming until the team carried Les off the field after beating A&M in 2015. Then Joe Alleva and BOS members had an emergency meeting in the press box and decided to keep Les. Alleva told Les in the locker room before his post game press conference. Jimbo felt spurned.

To be fair, Alleva wasn’t the one that decided to keep Miles. Alleva was forced. His failure was to keep a lid on it before it happened and that backfired.

azy arse joe alleva did not wanna do any more searches after herman told him to f off. so we promoted O.

Which only goes to show what a crapshoot hiring a coach can be. In hindsight, If the choices were JImbo, Herman, and Orgeron, by default, O was worth it at twice the price.

Even with Kelly, its a wash at worst if the choices truly were him, Riley, or Napier. Maybe Riley does better here than he has at USC, but nothing about the past 4 years gives me any reason to think he would. We would've fired Napier before he needed an oil change on the leased car.

Simple. We lucked out. The rant always wants the turd in the punch bowl, and thinks it’s a chocolate bar.
