Why do so many people have no trouble age shaming Steve? Weird.
Because your facilities begin to fade in your late 40s. Nature is a bitch.

I really do not think LSU is prepared for the backlash.
I dont either.. and its killing Oregeron that we all know he is an idiot that we dont trust with the program... Causing him to take a firmer grip... exactly what happened at Ole Miss.. History repeating itself.

I 101% approve this post, and support the idea. And I 101% support Higgy's stance on this subject. An open plea by local media that vindicates the way that the majority of us really feel.
But the CheeriO rantards are coming out of the woodwork as we speak, in war-force numbers, to let us know how g@ddammed stupid we are, and to tell us that the fan base truly and actually wants Ensminger to be named Co-OC. FRICK THIS RETARDED SHITE! We aren't in a position to sit idle for yet another year before we can start fixing this. The LSU administration needs to change our culture right now. SEC and their strong-arming of Freeze or anybody else be damned. The only reason the SEC is blackballing Freeze anyway is because he is the only unemployed coach out there right now who is a legitimate threat to their homies in Tuscaloosa.
Freeze called hookers. Ok, we get it. He quoted the bible while slamming prostitutes. But everyone makes mistakes. Orgeron badly beat his own wife many years ago... she is still with him, and the program and his supporters have forgiven him and moved on as well. HIRE THE FRICKER, LSU! What can the SEC do about it, put the microscope on us? Hire him, and do everything right, and it won't matter how upset the Bama alums that run the SEC get.

the problem with Freeze is his penchant for NCAA violations

that doesn't mean you hire a guy who put a school in the death penalty conversation less than a year ago.
Look into this, man. Freeze was basically exonerated by the NCAA. As serious as all of the allegations were, he got an extremely light slap on the wrist. He did not get a show cause penalty and was only given a two game suspension by the SEC if he's a head coach in 2018.
Would I trust him as a head coach to run and monitor a staff? Probably not, since he didn't do that effectively at Ole Miss, but I would absolutely trust him to be OC.

Bruh you were one of the main ones spouting out false rumors all weekend about the OC search.....
And FWIW, we don't even know if it's false yet. Has anyone been announced? No, so I strongly recommend you stop melting.

There are many comparable options out there that won't bring baggage with them
True. But not in the eyes of our sanctimonious administration. There's a bunch of "no-go's" and then there's Ensminger. We need to make our voice heard. I'd be happy with Freeze, but I'd be just as happy with Gilbert or any number of coaches from outside of LSU who would bring a different philosophy to the offensive game planning table. We have already seen how Ensminger offenses do against Florida and Alabama defenses. If that's our future, then fan support will sink to a 20 year low in a hurry.

This is the issue. I feel like a certain number of posters here have convinced themselves that Ensminger and Freeze are the only options out there.

The biggest point is that we aren't hiring Freeze to run the program. He's being hired as an assistant.
Posted on 1/8/18 at 11:50 am to BayouCowboy
doesn't have to be Freeze, but the article brings up good points.
