If LSU has spoken with Drink twice, that does not mean he is a contender. The list of coaches that an LSU rep has talked to more than once is likely quite long and most of the names on that list are not likely true contenders for the job, that’s just part of the due diligence process.

I’m not a Drink fan, but anyone that thinks LSU hasn’t interviewed multiple candidates by now is simple minded.
We have a list and they are being interviewed and vetted.
You can’t put all your hopes in Kiffin and not have other options ready.
I’ll bet we will know who our coach is within 48 hrs of Kiffin’s decision. And that will be because we have to act quickly as other teams are searching .
