If LSU can't pry Kiffin from Ole Miss, they have no chance in hell of getting Freeman from Notre Dame.

Don’t buy that for a 2nd. Not having a backup plan for someone as unpredictable as kiffin would be idiotic

Yea against a very very bad team. ND and the gumps ran up scores hoping to make points with the committee idiots.

The idea of a plan B should be a sure thing. LSU needs to have a reasonable expectation they can get the Plan B coach. Freeman isn’t that guy. Sounds like LSU will need a plan C

Freeman is not leaving ND. Brian Kelly and him are tight and the whole contract dispute makes LSU look not so good.
Doesnt freeman have connections with Verge? That’s where I feel like the smoke is coming from.

Regardless, he is going to Ohio State as soon as Day leaves or retires. That could be a long time though. Also that’s assuming he continues to be successful. Day is only 46 so freeman may never get that opportunity.
