To people who don't really follow basketball much the groupthink is it is a great program. What's more accurate is NC is benefitting from Duke's and UNC's great success from a perception standpoint.
Miami and fsu are like Duke and unc and UF has benefitted from their brand and success

Florida won two championships in the 21st century. FSU and Miami have combined for one. To contrast, Duke and UNC have won a combined 6 NCs this century. You're giving Miami and FSU FAR more credit than they deserve largely based on success from the 80's and 90's.

Only one name for me, Chris Beard from ole miss, LSU took their football coach so why not take their basketball coach, he is a good coach and wasting away at ole miss, c’mon Verge make it happen

FSU has the most recent natty and Miami has the most recent success of he 3 and will win at least one natty in the next few years, maybe more unless lsu and lane kiffin stop them
Basically who would you bet on winning at least one natty in basketball the next 3 years: Duke, unc or nc state?
Probably Duke or unc.
Same with football, Miami and fsu have plausible shots at winning a natty while Florida is a dead program.
That’s how the analogy fits

If we are going to look at it that way, then it's worth considering NC State reached the Final Four two years ago. That's as many as Duke and more than UNC in the last 3 years.
As far as the claim that Miami will win at least one NC and maybe more, that is quite a bold statement. There were valid arguments Miami shouldn't have been in the CFP this year. They did get in and obviously went on a great run. But they've had 2 losses each of the last two seasons in a really watered down conference. I'm not sure I'd say they are a lock to win any NCs in the next few years...let alone multiple.

Nc state is more like UCF under frost or usf under Golesh and UF is ECU

Basically they are like lsu, the only show in the state

Wade will 100% be offered the job, back channel stuff been going on for a few years. Whether or not he takes will depend on how much he has grown to like Raleigh.
On3 insiders have said this. And heard from people we’ve reached out already this year.
He’d have to accept though and he’s at a more basketball focused school.

I heard again today that Bryce Drew is going to be LSU's next head coach. He's had a fantastic run at GCU.

He will be your coach next year.
And Philly don't know shite

Regardless of who it is at the end, he’s my first call just to see what it will take.

Despite what the idiots on here that hate Wade want to believe, he’d absolutely consider us if we get the new arena across the finish line and provide NIL.

The new arena will definitely be used as leverage to try and lure someone here.

0-18 at Vandy in SEC his last year is really tough to overcome.

But he didn't do anything at Vanderbilt, and other coaches are showing or have shown that you can win there.
I'd take a look at Josh Schertz, the current coach at St Louis. He's been a head coach for 18 seasons. He's had one losing season and one .500 season. He's won 20 or more games in seven seasons and 30 or more games in six seasons.
He went 19-15 last season, his first at St Louis. They are currently 19-1 and ranked.
To me, he has proven success at multiple levels (D II Lincoln Memorial, Indiana State and St Louis). The problem with making a change this season is that a lot of mid-major coaches moved after last season, so we're not going to be able to hire a Bucky McMillan, who went from Samford to Texas A&M late in the hiring cycle.

Who? He took that job 10 years ago at a young age and when Vandy still had a lot of trouble getting athletes qualified to enroll just like football. Nowadays with NIL and all being transfers it is a lot easier, people often overlook this with the schools that have tougher admissions with NIL and transfer world. Much easier to get them enrolled with already having college credit. Just reading about this a few months ago during Vandy footballs peak.
Mizzou HC went 0-18 in the SEC and made the NCAAT the next season. Don't think that's a killer, not when he's been as good as he has at GCU.

Some of the greatest times I ever had in college involved being in the PMAC watching that team play.
