You bama guys are so naive. We've seen first hand how Saban works, everyone is going to deny, deny, deny until a press conference will be scheduled for no reason and he'll excuse his way out of Tuscaloosa. I love the denial.

NS is doing a lot of recruiting for Bama if he was going to leave. Last job I left I knew a month before I turned in my notice and I did not give 100%. Both Mack and NS have said they are mutual friends and I double NS would be doing anything while Mack is the HC.
ON top of that UT would have already announced something on Mack to get into the head coaching looking business. You are already behind a couple of good schools who have looking or fixing to hire their man.
I am a realist so do realize this is a business but I would be highly shocked if NS made a move or if UT fires or retires anyone at this point.

Why would the University President speak to Saban anyway...?

I would assume if a major U. hires a HC then the president along with the AD would be talking to the HC in some kind of interview process right?

All you need to know is, "I'm not going to be the head coach of Alabama."

Saban is leaving just as much as sumlin was leaving.

Nothing in that quote negates that UT could be taking to Saban's agent.

I know right? All of their jizz jars are working over time and getting filled to the brim with this NS rumor to UT..Heck UT should hire Gus who is the real up and comer..NS has arrived and is over the hill...NS is driving a damn YUGO while Gus is driving the pimp bus

UT admins are worried that the rumors getting leaked from their side may screw up the deal. Come out and make a statement that when you really look at it is true, but deceiving to keep the other side happy.
After reading that statement, UT lawyers and AD may have had 20 meetings with Sexton/Terry Saban etc and all has been done but Nick signing the contract.
eta- certainly not a huge vote of confidence for Mack

frick you. Saban to Texas.

Honestly, what do you expect him to say? He was asked about it, and if he has said that they had talked to Saban, then you'd have Jetgate 2.0. You should know all about liars - Saban isn't going to be the Alabama coach, remember?

He has to. He's still employed by Bama. If he starts half-assing shite now, Bama can sue him.
