If Riley falls through, please dear god let it be Aranda. Probably should have been going at him from day 1. Napier would be so fricking disappointing.

Why bring this shite up? Napier’s a hell of a coach, and there’s no correlation in being a fan of Napier and one of O’s. I can tell you I was sick when O was hired.
In fact the attitude and style of the anti-Napier crew is much more reminiscent of the pro-O crowd. Most of the pro-Napier folks on here have simply expressed that they like him and would be glad to have him. And with much better-supported arguments than the emotional, insulting rants against him from people who only know he coaches at ULL and was so terrible to lose a few games and win close ones against teams ULL “should” have crushed. Because none of the other coaches in contention have the same issue.
Anyway, if it’s LR, it’s an absolute grand slam for LSU. But if it had gotten to Napier it wouldn’t have been the disaster some of you guys think. At least not in my opinion or that of most who know.

Agree with that but apparently all we are good for is getting our candidates huge raises. We settled for Coach O. That being said…. If we can’t have Riley then it’s Napier or Aranda for me.

Don’t think that’s true.
I’ve been the biggest “Anti-O” hater on the board since even before he was hired.
And I’d be cool with Napier. Not my first choice, but feel he’d be solid.

Come on. If anyone is a "one of us" hire it's Aranda. Napier has effectively no connections to the school outside of the handful of shared sports reporters that come from working at a nearby program.
