Makes sense. I think either is a good landing spot for Napier

For the most part the Cajuns and the Gators played tough, physical football but if he wants to have a chance to grow his career from here, he needs to look in the mirror and tell himself that he's a fricking idiot for not giving up control of the offense.

What about Orgeron? He's a perfect fit.

I don’t see how Orgeron is a good fit for a private university with a superiority complex.

Mark Dantonio during the 4 team playoff era took MSU to the playoffs and a Rose Bowl. But the good thing about Big Ten Expansion is that it can actually make other schools more competitive. Indiana as long as Cignetti is there may not be a one-hit wonder.

Dantonio and Cignetti have shown the right coach can win at other places in the Big Ten.

Could Baker interviewing for Memphis possibly indicate that Tulane passed on him though?

Nah. If you are a hot commodity why would you limit yourself to just one school? Memphis and Tulane are two of the top G teams so landing at either one is a good thing for him.

First, Florida is a public university.

Second, Gainesville has strong Orgeron vibes.

Third, Orgeron was made for jorts. Jorts were made for Orgeron. Orgeron would live in jorts if he could. He has the eighth largest jort collection in the country. You could accurately call him Jorgeron.

Here he is in his formal jorts to meet with billboard trial lawyers.

Yeah I can see that. Just thought perhaps the Memphis interview could be a move to press Tulane and speed up the decision process. Who are the candidates at Memphis besides Baker? Haven't been keeping up with that search

I'm surprised that Penn State has offered Napier?

Jerry Mack (Kennesaw St) and Charles Huff (Southern Miss) are the hot names I'm seeing floated.

It could speed up the decision from Tulane it could also get LSU to offer him more money.

I talked to a couple of Memphis fans (not like big money booster or anything like that) and they would like Mullen. I would think Huff from USM is going to get an interview.

Memphis is in a good spot to hire a good coach. I think Arkansas hiring Silverfield was a blessing for them.

Student fees you mean. Something LSU doesn't allow other state schools to do. We never had more money than our peers, yet we still beat their asses. Worry about your own school's dire financial outlook before you come talking shite you don't know about.

Right. You never had the money, but you spent like you did. Thus the problem...

You have been running a deficit in athletics since 2020 but he had a staff of 40 people including a nutrition staff and was paid 2 million dollars a year.

Wanted him to come back to Lafayette. Desormeaux is way too inconsistent.
