That is why it is so frustrating when they lose. Everyone wants to go one extreme or another. It is either we're the best or we're horrible and Wade should be fired. It is neither. The fact is they have talent, skill, desire and hustle. The other fact is that they aren't perfect and make many mistakes. In every game but Auburn, we have had a chance to win. Just make a few more free throws, four less turnovers at crucial times, maybe a couple more threes go down, etc. etc.
It also doesn't help that we have had so many injuries and the referee's seem to have it in for us. But we will persevere and get many more wins. Sadly there will also be a few more losses. Not a perfect team but a good bunch of guys who play their heart out and give 100% effort every game. We have had many teams that didn't do that. Give them a lot of credit for it.

Here we have a group of guys who if properly trained would be quite good.

However they can't run plays, cant make layups, cant shoot threes or even most twos, and they race around like a freshly kicked fire ant mound, fouling everyone in sight.

The only team this poorly coached group will beat is themselves.

100% agree with OP

7 straight downvotes out of the gate is an indictment of the dumpster that is the rant along with the low basketball IQ of the majority of "gameday" posters

Every word of the OP's statement is accurate

The great thing about basketball is if you just win the next game the season continues no matter what happens before that. All we have to do is get healthy and recover our chemistry in time for March.

LSU has no excuse to not finish 7-3 (unless somehow more injuries occur)

Low basketball IQ…

I get so sick of this shite. Wanna know my basketball IQ? Just fricking win. Enough with the proclamations about how good the team is or what a great coach Wade is.

Just win when it counts and I promise you folks will shut up.

that is simply a false assertion

we beat a bunch of cupcakes heading into SEC play giving us a false sense of security

this team may end up on the bubble

If you would have told me before the game we'd score 68 points, have 15 assists and only 9 turnovers and get more offensive boards than TCU I'd have said we would win by at least 8.

For the first time this year our defense let us down. And to the most unlikely opponent that it could happen against.

O'Bannon went off from 3 but we left him wide open, the transfer from A&M who had been hindered by a bad wrist this year but is much better than he had been playing, really had his best game and maybe that wrist is fully healed. But we let him find his spot way too easily and that's not something we've been allowing.

Very surprised and disappointed in the defensive play yesterday.

Every team in the country could use IF. They are what they are. A very athletic team that is undisciplined.

You could say this about several teams in the country. Every team has flaws. This LSU team's flaw is their offense. At best, it is inconsistent. That flaw showed up today when, really for the first time all season, the defense did not answer the bell. You are starting to see teams figure out LSU's defense a bit right now. That was to be expected after 20 games. The upshot is (though subtle) LSU was better offensively the last two games.

The reality of the situation is like most things in life. LSU wasn't as good as everyone thought they were with the 12-0 start. If you were objective and not a blind homer you knew that. But this team also isn't as bad as they have been over the last 2 weeks.

Thinking this team was going to be a 1 or 2 seed was always a pipe dream. They don't have the balance to be one of those teams. But they can be somewhere between a 4-6 seed. One that has enough defense to be very dangerous in the NCAAT. We are now entering the last full months of the season. There are subtle signs LSU is finding a bit more offense. Can that continue and can the defense stay solid will tell the tale of this seasons. Wade's teams haven't always been playing their best late in the year. Then again...this team is completely unlike Wade's first 4 at LSU.

This team will be an incredibly tough out in the NCAA tournament.

Look around the country. There is nobody that sticks out as being head and shoulders above everyone else. Auburn? The team that lead us 18-1 before we cut it to 6 with about 6 minutes left without Murray playing? Baylor just got beat by double digits to 13-7 Alabama. Kansas lost to the Same Uk team we beat by 18 on their home floor. USC lost to unranked Stanford at home. The tournament will be madness this year. You have 15-20 teams capable of getting hot and winning it all.

All we need to is get ourselves in and we will likely be safely in with a 4 or 5 seed. What people on here don’t understand is that we have guys like Williams, Shareef, and Fudge playing big time minutes.

Wade normally uses an 8 man rotation, so when Pinson is back to 100% and we are rolling heading into march, we will be that much better because the back end of our rotation has been playing major minutes. Guys like Gaines and Days can be more aggressive during their minutes, knowing we have guys that are comfortable playing in crunch time. We will be much better later in the year, had we been 100% all year you’d be looking at throwing in 18 y/o justice williams in the mix with no experience if Murray or Pinson get in foul trouble come March.

Wade is immature and doesn’t command respect. His time here is short.
