Ran into an old buddy of mine today that I haven't seen in probably ten years. We were 11 but he was 11 going on 30. Massive black kid. He hit a ball off of me over the center field fence that still ain't landed. Well old boy was so excited that he missed first base. I toss it over there when the next kid comes up to bat and ump calls him out. Man chairs and food and sun tan oil all sorts of shite was thrown onto the field. Coaches and parents were nose to nose cops were called. Me and him had a good chuckle today thinking about that.

I pitched against three batters in my life. Walked two, and hit the third.

My favorite is the time I threw a base runner out at home from left field. I was 9 or 10.
Batter hit one my way, kid on second tried to stretch it out, but I nailed the throw!

My 10 and under little league team beat a team 50-0. No mercy run rules back in the 70's.

In my hometown, if you were in both leagues, you would play little league followed by soccer some nights. Kid on our team was going to be doing just that and shows up the the LL game with his soccer shorts over his baseball pants
He didn't have an answer when we suggested he wear his soccer shorts under his baseball pants.

Yes. Some of the best summers of my life. Played SS and pitched. Even invited for a tryout with the Alexandria Aces. Dumb teenage me didn't go. Found something else to do that day. Not saying I would have made it, but I regret not going

Called in to relieve during rec ball and threw 3 no hit innings in a vital game. Felt like I threw a dang no hitter.
Another good memory was our preseason tournament for one reason or another had to be moved to a park that only had girls softball fields. What normally would be a outfield fly ball were now homers and our team cranked a lot of them that weekend on our way to winning the ship.

I hit a home run off of a good buddy back in 1993. I remind him each year on Facebook with a picture of the ball.

Yep, the entire league had the real 70's uniforms of MLB. Orioles, Yankees, Reds, A's, Royals, Astros, Cardinals, Pirates, Red Sox and the Cubs. The organization wasn't LL but they owned the unis (tops and bottoms). Our hats were just regular mesh hats with the first letter of the nickname on them. Good times, can't believe its been over 40 years.

Good memories except for some of the jackass coaches I had.

It was mentioned on WWL TV that night.

Had a no hitter going into the bottom of the last inning for the little league championship game and their fastest player laid down a bunt on me for a single.
Got the rest of the side out and finished with a one hitter over a bunt

When I was seven I thought that only balls that were strikes (like on tv) that you swung and missed at were called strikes. I was dumbfounded when I struck out for swinging at high/low pitches

One of my teammate’s moms always came to the ballpark dressed like she was going out clubbing. Walked up behind another teammate’s dad who had a big chew of Red Man. She was wearing a low cut top and Mr. Hugh didn’t know she was walking up behind him. He turned around and spit right between her titties.

I couldn't hit for shite but I had a good eye and was pretty fast. I batted leadoff on a really good team.
I always felt like shite because I couldn't make good contact, but in hindsight I guess it wasn't all that bad.
