Give me some Gov Overreach Examples

I’ll start off by saying that I’m a based conservative but I do have one or two buddies that lean left. I tend to keep politics out my radar when associating with people, but you can always tell. All of this current talk of Roe V Wade has them all riled up. Here’s his text to me today; “This isn’t ‘owning the libs’. It’s dangerous ground in which the Supreme Court of the US is overturning important and historical precedent that will affect the American citizen at large.” I simply responded back to him stating that if this is the first time he’s noticed government trying to overreach, he has been living in a cave..
He’s not a bad dude, just stuck sucking on his progressive girls taters, more of a yes man than anything.
Let’s get some examples in here on previous government overreach. I’ll give two quick examples.
Tuskegee Study
NSA spying on US citizens

Any law that takes away states rights such as RvW is an overreach even federal drug laws AKA the war on drugs

Government overreach? That's easy; probably 90% of these.

Weaponizing the IRS to where they see every transaction in your private bank account that is over $600.
I mean these people are fricking retarded and cannot be reasoned with anymore.

Buck vs. Bell. Written by a liberal icon nonetheless.

Healthcare insurance. ACA.
We would be better off letting the states figure this out.
