Top 5 States with worst overall weather

5). Alaska- Alaska would be number 1, but it draws a specific crowd to the state. No one just up and says let’s move to Alaska
4). Mississippi- Mississippi summers are terrible, spring is full of tornadoes, and despite being a southern gulf state, it’s winters are cold and shvtty.
3). Washington- Yes, it has 3 months of perfect weather, but does it really make up for remaining 9 of darkness and rain? There’s a reason this state is home to some dark things such as grunge rock, twilight, and The Ring!
2). Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia- The winters here are too cold and the summers here are bad enough to harbor tropical diseases. Fortunately, the fall here isn’t too bad and saves it from #1.
1). Middle Tennessee & Kentucky- Most states offer a breather in between bad seasons but you might get a week in these states. If you want a sampler of the worst weather & season each US region can offer than set your destination to Nashville or Bowling Green!! The Nashville week sampler includes flash flooding, tornadoes, snow & ice storm, 80 plus weather, 2 days of no sun & 39 degrees all in one week!! Don’t let the Yankee from Michigan tell you the winters aren’t bad either because they bvtch and moan constantly from May 1st to Thanksgiving day about the heat XD

That's 7 states and a territory???
I wouldn't include Tennessee and Kentucky, they have great spring through fall weather, the winter though, I don't do snow in the mountains.

People move to TN specifically for the weather.

Don't disagree with your list as I tend to prefer cooler places, but outside of #5 this list has a bias against heat. I'd imagine living in Boston or Chicago sucks worse if you don't like shoveling snow 8 months a year.

Problem with North Mississippi is that they routinely catch a good ice storm yet the state is shockingly I’ll prepared to deal with winter weather. If it was a more populated area it would be a titanic shite storm at least once a year.

Agree but those states actually have tolerable summers most of the time whereas you can actually be outside at 1pm and maybe be a little uncomfortable. In the hotter states, doing anything in between 11am-6pm is a death sentence to hell.

If Tennessee is number one, then I must think about weather muuuuchhh differently than most. The weather in Tennessee was great, you got all four seasons without overbearing heat/coldness and not too much snow.
Having lived in Louisiana, Florida, and Michigan too, they're all much, much worse than Tennessee's weather. Michigan's winters were brutal and the heat/humidity in Louisiana and Florida are ridiculous. Louisiana has the daily afternoon thunderstorm in the summer to make sure everything is wet and disgusting in the summer too.

Middle Tennessee has some of the best weather in the entire country. All 4 seasons without overly humid summers and overly cold winters.

I'd trade Louisiana weather for most of those.

After living in Tennessee (East TN though) I can say for certain that the weather is significantly better than the gulf coast region.
It's hard to compare entire states though.

How do you have MS but not AL/GA?
Same weather.
Same weather.

It’s going to be 96 fricking degrees in North LA this weekend. On May 8th. Don’t tell me this state isn’t the worst when you add in hurricanes.

Kentucky's weather isn't bad. We get all 4 seasons and summer lasts 4 months, winter 2 months, and spring and fall is wonderful.
