Glen Oaks middle school on lockdown with several kids feeling ill chewing gum

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - At least one juvenile at Glen Oaks Middle School was transported to the hospital Wed., May 11 after reports of a possible drug overdose, according to emergency responders.
A spokeswoman for the school said several students became ill after another student passed around chewing gum.
The school was placed on lockdown and an investigation was launched. State testing has been paused on campus as authorities respond to the incident.
