Looking to take the kids (ages 8 and 10) on a fun adventure next Mardi Gras and strongly considering an all inclusive for the easy ness. Wife and I have been to most Mexican destinations at least a few times, but never done an AI. Open to other destinations, just looking forward something reasonable. Say ($5-7k)) for a week. Thanks

In May, I stayed at the Hilton La Romana in the DR. It has an adult-only side and a family side. The beach was very nice, with no sargassum. The waterpark looked like kids were having a great time. I enjoyed the restaurants and service.

We went to Hyatt Ziva in the DR back in June. My 9yr old loved it. They have a water slide park. Food wasn’t too bad. Drinks were pretty good.

We just did the Wyndham in Cancun all inclusive with kids. It’s exactly what we wanted and have tons of stuff to keep the kids busy
Only downside is it’s a bad seaweed season

Paradisus Playa del Carmen will check your boxes. Sea Grass (Sargasso) shouldn't be a problem in February. Well above average food, excellent service, water park, and multiple pools. We did the reserve experience which was nice to have private access to the restaurant and pool in that area as well as the private beach.

We did, but you might be able to save the money with older kids. We had an 8 month old and a four year old, so needed the entertainment while she napped.
