Anyone have an insurance rider for golf clubs? I have about $4k in value. Other forums seem to show about $30-40/yr for that.

My insurance agent is wanting to add it to my homeowner's policy but then I think you run into deductible problems. I'm looking for independent.

My club replacement value is high because of 2 fitted shafts.

I have not thought about this.
I guess if the clubs get stolen, I’ll get some more.

I guess I’ll just play the odds. I’ve never had a set stolen.

I mean, 4k isn’t really enough for me to insure. Mine are about 3k. If something happens, I’ll just charge it to the game.

If you add the clubs as scheduled property, there is no deductible. I am not sure if clubs can be scheduled like jewelry or not, but it my be worth looking into. Scheduling property will likely be more than $30 a year, though.

I have mine on a separate rider.

About 40 a year.

I had a set stolen several years ago at Cypresswood and it sucked since I need custom on irons.

Not something I considered but my set is expensive so I wonder what my options would be. Miura irons and a tour, one of a kind Betti along with a custom driver shaft means my set is somewhere between 6 and 7k once you add in the other woods and wedges.

They can.. and I would suggest doing so for clubs over 2500 in value.

Does that cover something broken during airline travel?

Agreed and leave insurance for those things that I either could not replace or would cause extreme extreme hardship

I’m an insurance agent. We write personal article policies, which is essentially an inland marine policy. I have my clubs on there, all my firearms, watches, jewelry. Everything is scheduled, no deductible, replacement cost.

Covers your belongings anywhere in the world. Costs me about 30/month, but I have a lot of firearms listed on there
