Why would you think it wasn't? And it was a foot problem, not fatigue imo.

Charlie is a good golfer, but he brings eyeballs to the game.

Charlie may never win a major, but he is a good junior golfer.

He is probably overrated as a golfer, but the networks want him. He will get a big NIL for college.

If I could find a casino that would book this bet for a good price I would throw a few hundred on it for shits and giggles

Just imagine growing up being constantly compared to your dad.

Kid will need some serious counseling to keep him off of narcotics/alcohol. I feel for the guy, honestly.

To be clear, he may become a great golfer, but there is no way to know.

Same here. Let the kid grow up and become who is is going to become.

I didn't watch the broadcast because of the fawning.

In fairness, we don't hear that much about him outside the PNC event and the weeks leading up to it. Throughout the rest of the year, we may see a report of some tournament he played in, video of a swing of his or a cell phone picture someone has taken of he and Tiger at a junior event every several months, but there hasn't really been constant coverage of Charlie all year long.

Tiger does a pretty good job, all things considered, keeping Charlie away from the cameras as much as is reasonably possible, with the exception of the PNC and I guess Charlie did some sort of brief interview at Notah Begay's junior event earlier this year.

gotta tell ya, so am I. I know the pedigree. I understand the name and the draw he brings to an event. But I'm a little weary of seeing his precocious antics on the course. I'm afraid the media is going to present him in this same manner ad nauseum, tho, and he's going to morph into a giant preteen/teen cocky a-hole. Hope Tiger keeps him grounded.

Agreed. It doesn't seem like they are throwing Charlie out there looking to drum up press.

In the same comparison as kids holding up to the mettle of their pops, what about Little John Daly? Big John is a cult legend that just so happens to be a damn good golfer with a couple of majors on the resume. Can Little John fill those shoes? And if he doesn’t and falls off the rails, is that gonna be any different than his dad who has done the same thing at 50-11 times?

John qualified for the open in college.

Not sure his son is doing a whole lot for the hogs.

He’s good but he’s not his dad. His dad was a generational talent with a generational mullet.

I hope for the best for Charlie... but I can't help to not think about Kyle Petty or even Dale Jr... so much pressure to be like daddy.

One good thing Charlie has going for him, is no Earl. That dude fricked up Tiger in the head.
