In New York city 30% of all recent arrest have been shoplifters. With those arrested released the next day to commit the same crimes. The residents are calling for stiffer penalties to stop shoplifters from destroying their city.

Defund The Police = No Punishment

This is happening all over the US.

Again, by design.

A guilty conscious is punishment in itself.

The only people who didn't see this coming are progressives.

How many departments were actually "defunded"? New Orleans wasn't and crime has exploded here.

They've lost some personnel though haven't they?

Tons, but not due to any sort of defunding.

You missed the point. The movement brought about this current status. THe rise in crime is not a mystery.

Police are being told to stand down.

Defund the police =\= cash free bail

Two different movements, one with a lot more success ad support than the other. This cash free bail has basically neutered police because everyone they arrest is back on the street the next day.

You are either being disingenuous or are a peabrain moron if you think that:

A) The whole defund/BLM agenda did not have a huge impact on LE morale, retention and recruitment.
B) That soft on crime DAs due to some made up systemic racism isn’t having negative consequences society wide.

Thank you.

As I've said, "defund the Police" has a much larger meaning than just withholding funds.

She never said anything about either of those topics

She merely commented on the NOLA situation not having to do with actual funding

Calm down

It’s being basically defunded by attrition. The less shoes on the pavement you have, the less money to run the departments.

It might be to the long-term benefit of the USA if the Democrat-dominated big cities were to continue to de-evolve into chaos, suffering, crime and death. It would be better if they could find the way to cure themselves, but, it seems clear to me that they would rather die than to take the correct path.

Not in New Orleans. City Council has actually increased funding for recruitment and bonuses.

And you still haven't answered my question, so I have to assume you don't know the answer.
