Shoes for Squatting/Deadlift

Been lifting the last few years in regular running shoes. I can feel that not only they get worn out quicker but probably affecting form a little. Any recommendations on basic lifting shoes or even some cross trainers?

Chuck Taylor's are the cheapest best solution.

I wear Vans. I got them when I started deadlifting and really like them. I wear them for every workout. Nice and flat.

Deadlift is easy- anything flat; chucks, vans, barefoot, etc.
Squat you can go flat or weightlifting shoes which have crazy drops (eg. 20mm). For something relatively cheap and with a mild drop, try the Nike savaleos.

Nike metcons are great all purpose gym shoes.
Some even come with heel inserts for squatting.

I usually am wearing either a pair of Puma Suede Classics or Reebok Nano X1 Adventure.

I’ve got adidas adipower 2 or 3. I liked them, but I use my converse now.

Nike Romaleos for squats for me, too.
Love to deadlift barefoot

Chucks for any type of leg day for me.
PUMA Axelion for other days.

Chucks if you feel weird or your gym doesn’t let you squat/deadlift in socks.

I have metcons for most and some adipowers for squat days

Chucks are great for DLing if your gym doesn't allow barefoot. For squat it depends, I've heard some good things about new wide toebox lifting shoes(can't remember the name tbh). Personally my gym allows barefoot/socks so I do both DL and squat barefoot pretty much.
For running I've picked up Hoka Challenger 7 from local running store https://rununited.com/ , not the best runners I've had, but does the trick(probably going to switch to Saucony or Brooks, but waiting for newer releases so old ones go on sale).

Im a fan of the Reebok Nanos. Little wider that Nike Metcons. You can get older models for $50-$70.

Barefoot most often. If not, then Xeros or Vivos.

Since I lift at home, I'm almost always barefoot. Never any specific issues with it.
As others have said, Chucks or Vans are the budget option, but my feet are too wide for those styles. Anything flat is the right answer.
