I’m sick of this pussy shite. This was an injury that should have been healed in 4-6 weeks. I know this isn’t the 90’s but this makes street clothes AD look like fricking iron man. 38 year old LeBum can heal a more serious injury in 2 weeks yet a 22 year old need 4 months?

frick Nelson, he is a low T cuck

I honestly think when he reaggravated it, it went from a grade 2 to grade 3. Grade 3 requires surgery but they let him rehab it without chance he could play. It didn’t work and he’ll need surgery. Probably be out beginning of next year too.

It’s the injury during rehab that is most concerning. How is that happening in a professional level setting? It truly feels like Zion doesn’t know his own limits. Which is dangerous.

That one is on Nelson. Its common to have setbacks, KAT had one too. I blame Nelson, what he does isnt working. I think Griff fires him after the season.

Maybe. Maybe the critics about his body are right. His play style doesn’t do him any favors.

No maybe here. Zion being allowed to ramp up right before the all star break instead of taking the extra time is a fireable event. There was no excuse for that, I don’t care how much Zion’s crew wanted him to play in the all star game. The team and medical staff needed to step up and they did not. That is a clear cut example of the Micky Mouse show we have going.

Exactly! And probably why you’ll see them move on from Nelson. But part of the blame needs to be on Zion and his crew too. Nobody can figure this kid out on how to best utilize this guy with his body type. But his past recent history has shown he just doesn’t heal quick from injuries.

Here is my gripe with Nelson and why I think he should be fired. He was supposedly the guru of preventing soft tissue injuries through dynamic physical training. Yet, every long term injury our players have had seem to be common soft tissue injuries.

Name one player that has met or exceeded the recovery timeline set out by Nelson. Every two week injury turns into a 2 month injury. It is not like he is managing a geriatric team. These are 21-24 year old professional athletes who's bodies don't respond to any sort of recovery training?

You’re not wrong. Nelson made his living off of prolonging careers of Grant Hill and Steve Nash but that was years ago. Under his watch, Booker had tons of nagging injuries as well. Hes also ultra conservative. Part of the problem might be maybe all this rest and recovery time that he preaches just doesn’t work.

Wiggins missed weeks dealing with family. not injury.
he supposedly shot around.
gsw is ramping him up for playoffs. not running him out there in regular season games although those games matter.

I now don't expect zion to play regular season.
if pels get 6th he can ramp up like Wiggins.

Ramp up???! They’re about to take him into surgery for his hamstring. You’ll see him in 2024 if we’re lucky.

Aaron Nelson has one job: keep the players healthy. He is failing at that job in incredible fashion. There are freak injuries like concussions or broken bones that are excusable, but hamstring injuries (since they won't even actually define what the injury was) and sprained ankles taking months to heal is unacceptable.

Zion aside. Are these injuries taking months to heal or is he super duper conservative? Regardless, I agree he sucks at his job.

Listed as doubtful on ESPN for the Knicks game…

Hasn’t been on their injury report at all.

So I guess that’s positive…

if this was the case he wouldn't have been participating in shoot arounds and dunking before games, and doing 3 on 3

So either he's ok, or while his hamstring is ok he's too out of shape to play, or he re-injured it again.

This is the only 3 options IMO. I have a feeling it’s the middle one.

If it was good news, the national insiders would have leaked it already.
