So what did you think about this week's episode?

I liked it, but I saw a huge spoiler thread on imdb several weeks ago, so I already knew who the killer was. It pissed me off because there was no warning. Anyway, if it was a total shock to you, I'm sure the episode probably rocked. I'm wondering if it will get resolved next week or if jason will spend their hiatus in jail.

well, it wasn't a total shock, but what's up with Terry, he's kinda creepy and what do you think is up with the "social worker"? She is the naked woman who made Tara wreck isn't she?

She's definitely the naked woman with the pig. She seems a little off, obviously.

At first, I thought they made him creepy just to think he may be the killer and to take the audience's eye off off....

SPOILERS

Rene, but now I think there may be more to him. And I have no idea about that social worker chick. Looks like she gets crazy next week. I have no idea what the frick she could be. When I saw that house, I thought she may some sort of madame or something.

Supposedly she's a maenad.
quote:

In Greek mythology, Maenads were female worshippers of Dionysus, the Greek god of mystery, wine, and intoxication, and the Roman god Bacchus. Their name literally translates as "raving ones". They were known as wild, insane women who could not be reasoned with. The mysteries of Dionysus inspired the women to ecstatic frenzy; they indulged in copious amounts of violence, bloodletting, sexual activity, self-intoxication, and mutilation. They were usually pictured as crowned with vine leaves, clothed in fawnskins and carrying the thyrsus, and dancing with wild abandon. The Maenads are the most significant members of the Thiasus, the retinue of Dionysus.

quote:

The behavior of Maenads in stories is intended to explain and display the intoxicating effects of alcohol. In some cases, the alcohol causes bizarre behavior in people and cannot be justified or explained by any other reason except that of the intoxication.

There were two things that happened that really didn't make any sense. First, was Tara's mother kicking Tara out of her house given the mother's history and also still believing that Tara had gotten rid of her demon.

Second, I don't understand why Sookie turned against Bill so quickly. Earlier in the episode, she admits to Sam that she loved Bill, and then later on she is making out with Sam and kicks Bill out of her house.

I see that both of these events are needed for plot development, but they just didn't make much sense to me.

Yeah that seemed strange, but maybe she was afraid Bill was going to seriously hurt or kill Sam and kicking him out of the house was for Sam's safety.

they were probably integral plots to the book storline. The TV show probably didn't have enough time to give evidence/examples of why these two things came to pass, but overall they could have done a better job justifying them.

I was guessing vampire. She had only been shown at night so far.

I didn't understand the whole Sookie/Bill/Sam deal either.

The Detective is starting to really get on my nerves.

I think the chick that Bill turned will turn out pretty interesting....

I think she a shapeshifter like Sam.

Na. I just finished book one and Tara is not even in the book. The books are 100% from the perspective of Sookie.

The naked woman with the hog doesn't show up until book 2. And she is not a shapeshifter.

Not as good as last weeks, but it leads up to a great finish.

-who will help Sookie against the "killer"? Bill or Sam?

-Will Bill be able help to help Sookie if she is attacked in her house?

-What happens with Jason?

I think the next episode is really going to swing away from the storyline in the book.

I wonder if they are going to go with a cliffhanger or if they will finish the serial killer plot.
