We planted 2 seedings and they are flourishing, these may be the most delicious tomatoes I have ever bitten into.

They do get huge too. I've picked some this year that were well over a pound each.

The really are amazing. Slicing one in the summer and putting a little nice olive oil and s&p on them is amazing. Maybe crumble a little feta on top.

Here's the story of how they came to be, or really were discovered. It's really amazing at the variety of tomatoes that are out there. Too bad big box stores don't support that kind of plant diversity.

If can be had (young plants, not seeds) is it getting to be too late/hot to plant some?

I’m not an expert but generally yes, the big tomatoes don’t like heat and don’t do well in the southern summer. You really gotta plant them extra early and about now they start declining in the ability to produce.

Get you one of these and pollinate the flowers yourself.
