Sources: Wizards, Celtics and Clippers are in strong talks on a trade that would send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, Marcus Morris and draft compensation to Washington and Malcolm Brogdon to Los Angeles

Woj now reporting the deal fell apart.

That would be incredible for Boston. They have a log jam at guard and need another big.

The Clippers are expected to trade No. 30 in Thursday's NBA Draft to the Wizards as part of this three-team trade, sources said. Washington nets a first-rounder for aiding Porzingis opt in-and-trade

except for Porzingis has an availability issue. chances are he misses significant time due to injury some point.

Hopefully Wiz are getting a future first from Boston as well. Porzingis was awesome in Washington and wish him well going forward. Go check out his numbers with the Wiz. He’s still a top 35 player when he’s healthy and he was pretty healthy with the Wiz.

Definitely a concern. He did play 65 games last year, though.

Porzingas had a player option, so he was basically an unrestricted a free agent. Wizards got something for nothing.

So Boston keeps a head coach with zero defensive principles. Now they are loading up with more offensive players. Makes sense, in a one-dimensional kind of way.

The Celtics are getting a top 50 player in Porzingis for a top 80 player in Brogdon. It’s an upgrade. The Cs needed another offensive big man too. Horford and Robert Williams don’t bring much to the table offensively.

So getting a 7'2" center, whose game is shooting behind the 3-point line, is getting the Cs to the promised land?

They already scored a ton of points in the regular season. They couldn't outscore Miami, who is about as offensively challenged as they come. When you say playoff, you better be saying DEFENSE.

I like the trade for Boston, only slightly. This isn't 20 year old KP, needed some players with size.

Porzingis scores way more from two than three. You clearly haven’t seen his stats.

The Cs were a Tatum sprained ankle away from back to back finals. Now they upgrade the talent on their roster yet again.

Losing a starting guard and top back up guard for a very good center does not seem like a great return to me, especially when one of those guards is a top defensive guy that can actually play 2-ways.

So Boston loses depth and talent at guard for a slight upgrade at center.
