The talking head really hyped up Pearsons catch. That thing was a roped line drive but Pearson got a great jump and luckily it wasn’t hit into the gap.

The beloso bomb to take the lead by 2 or 3 when we were down 1or 2

I forgot which but they jumped on us in the second inning and everyone was giving up and the jobert gets an rbi and then a beloso bomb

I rewatched that game on ESPNU and that was one of the things that stood out. He doesn't make that catch things could have been dramatically different for us.

Still wondering if Thompson lets it bounce into Dugas equals a double play. Seemed like the speed of Pearson's throw would have gotten to Dugas fast then Thompson's cut-off. Either way it happened that way for. a reason.

There were lots of plays but imo the single biggest play of the series was Treys play at home plate

I don't think Tre's play fits the OP subject. It's certainly not underrated.

The number of runners left on base was unbelievable.

If he missed that one game over and we prolly lose the series.
Jay said it a 100 times that game was pivotal for us to win in 3.

The runners left of base finally came home to roost in game 3 when Cags left early and Florida was out of pitching

Pearson’s catch and Tre Morgan’s play on the squeeze bunt were plays that allowed wins for the Tigers, if either play had not been made, the CWS trophy probably wouldn’t be in Baton Rouge.

Agree with the OP.

I'll throw out Jobert's HR in G2 vs UF because nobody beats us us by 21 runs in Omaha.

That play happened right in front of me and ball off the bat, my first thought was shite, we’re screwed. Then bam.

I think you meant his "record breaking 24th hit". LSU had a total of 24 hits in the final game.

That was a fairly routine play and most left fielders, as long as they are lined up in the same spot catch that.

We got lucky it was hit where it was relative to where Pearson was lined up. A frew inches in a different direction and it clears the bases.

It was better positioning by the coaches and the execution of a fairly routine play on a well hit ball.

Great play but not underrated. It just wasn’t quite as good as Morgan’s. Just as necessary, though.
