He is definitely putting the blame on himself.

What worries me is we've had major issues with the offense right from the first game, and even with added attention the offense has gotten worse.

The last game it seemed like the plan was be pass happy with an injured quarterback, ignore the rum game and dump off to Kamara when your deep routes don't come open.

Kamara needs less touches.

We have better RB’s and should be throwing the ball more downfield.

We had the worst game of the season on offense feeding him so much.

If they do the 1 yard passes to Kamara again this week I’m turning the tv off.

I wouldn’t necessarily say he needs less touches, they just need to be higher quality touches. That dump off and the end around are wasted plays. Seemed like they were scheming those dump offs when it needs to be a dump off only when there’s nothing else in the route tree or if it’s wide open.

Let him run it up the middle every now and then. Throw a legit screen to him every now and then. Let him run behind Penning.

I don’t think the problem is the amount of touches it’s the quality of the plays. I do agree that we need to see a committee tho I still think Kamara should be the head of the group.

He was the safety outlet. There was no game plan for Kamara to get 13 receptions.

He got used a lot because the BUCS had us covered. Our spacing sucks. We often have two receivers on the same part of the field.

We can't throw it more downfield with our current pass protection. Not enough time before the pocket collapses. The problem is Carr is only left one dump off receiver (whoever it is Kamara, or whoever), and the other team can key on that player so you can't expect a ton of production in this scheme. Where is the screen passes vs strong pass rush? Did we do one? Motions to confuse the D? Any kind of misdirection? I didn't see it.

This is on the players and is happening way too often.

Just curious, you said RBs. Which RBs are better than Kamara on the Saints?

I'm sure they are at fault for some of it but they're running the routes the play calls for. We have dumb route combinations.

No it is not you silly goose. This is 100% on the coordinator drawing up the plays Even when the WRs are running option routes those routes should never be in the same space. The most they should ever do is cross paths momentarily. Stop pimping for the coach

Pete can put it on himself.

The problem is the playbook and the way he calls it.

They should've brought in a young offensive mind with a different system to pair with Pete. A few of us on here said this when they were "searching" for an oc.

This system is too predictable. With the weapons the Saints have it should never be this bad.

I'm sorry, but Carr isn't this bad. He is a decent NFL starter. At this point they need to fire Allen and Pete. I'm over it. He had his chance to do something different and begged Pete to come back.

That just shows what kind of coach he is. Didn't want to put his own imprint on the team. Weak.

This.

MT13, Olave and Shaheed are a solid group of receivers.

No way they are THAT incompetent. Carmichael just can't design plays.

Well, he’s definitely owning the problem. Don’t usually see a coordinator or asst coach put all the blame on themselves like that, props. Hopefully he figures it out or they find someone that can. Pete is a good dude by all acccounts, he is very good at drawing up plays and coaching. He’s definitely struggling at calling plays though.

I get everyone harping on WRs being close together, occasionally that happens, all teams screw that up every now and then

Guys this is the nfl . The receivers are running the routes the way they are designed. It’s coaching points and the play design that are wrong . But I get it , you would think no play is designed to have two receivers in the same zone.

I just can’t imagine an nfl receiver doing things that aren’t taught to him.
