I know coaches have been known to do that, but I actually believe Lanning. However, nothing would surprise me.

He came out and said he wants to raise his family there and money is not his motivation. We shall see.

Not all coaches do want to be at the top with top pay. Look at ISU he had an opportunity and he declined to go elsewhere.

He's probably a liberal and doesn't want to move to a state like Texas that is conservative. Oregon is a lib paradise.

He has a $20 million dollar buyout if he leaves. Aggy ain’t paying that anyway.

Nope. Aggy making it known they’re not paying big money this time. Maybe they aren’t as wealthy as they want everyone to think they are

I’m sure Oregon will give him an extension with raise. He’s going to get money out of this search regardless

I don’t think he’ll be our next coach, but not because of anything he said in that link.

That’s classic coach speak. Something similar is said by virtually every coach who has his name linked during a search

Maybe the most unequivocal denial I've ever heard from a coach. Take Urban off the board and I'm starting to smell blood in the water.

He's in a beautiful part of the country at a school with great resources and a track record of success. Plus, with the advent of the 12 team playoff he doesn't have to leave Oregon to consistently compete for a championship. Finally, the fan/booster demands are not as fanatical as they are at A&M.

Why leave a good thing, and a better program at the moment, to go to a place where the expectations will be through the roof?

This number sure seems a lot higher than $75M

Imagine donating that much money to a football program that hasn’t played for a conference championship in 25 years

I mean seriously I know you’ve got wealthy donors but man you have to admit it’s funny

And saban said he wasn't going to be the HC at bama. Then walked on a plane the next day.

True but Saban is a liar. We don’t know if Lanning is or not yet
