Anyone have a different tee box club for narrow fairways?

Need something to help me not hit it out of bounds on narrow holes. Thinking of a 7 wood or so. Thoughts?

I read something from a stats pro that said taking less than driver should typically not be associated with being more accurate, the data showed equal probability to go wide/OOB with woods and long irons. It should mostly be used for staying short of hazards, etc.
That has been the case for me enough times where it helps me commit to driver on tight fairways and frees me up to make a nice swing.
Might not apply to all but just my experience on the matter

Yes, you don’t swing a shorter club any more accurate from a percentage standpoint. Of course the shorter the club the less off line the ball will travel vs hitting the driver because you are swinging that shorter club at a lesser speed.
You also should try to figure out your expected score by laying up off the tee. A lot of times, it doesn’t make sense to lay up “in the fairway” off the tee because 1) you may or may not actually hit the tee ball in the fairway and 2)even if you do hit the fairway, you are further away from the hole and your expected outcome becomes higher than being in the rough with a driver.
The vast majority of golfers don’t hit any more fairways by dropping back to three wood off the tee BUT that 3 wood is guaranteed to be 20-30 yards behind a well struck driver leaving you with a higher expected outcome than if you just ripped driver to begin with.

My misses with my driver are better. I swing it every chance I get.
If I was a better player, I’d shoot better scores. I would probably also use more of a variety of clubs for tee shots.

You just need a reliable fade or draw with your driver. I’d do that before giving up 60 yards.

Depends. If it’s a hoke that bends either way I’ll go ahead and hit driver and just try and fade or draw it.
If it’s straight, 3w. I don’t bend that club much one way or the other.
