CJ, Trey, BI, Zion, JV:

157.1 OFF.
57.1 DEF.

3 minutes. 3 minutes.

I get some of that had to do with JV fouls but how do you only get that group 3 minutes?

Starting 5 continues to be a liability.

Not sure how long we can keep trying to fit a square peg in a round hole starting an offensive lineup and then just throwing in a defensive player who isn’t a + shooter

I love Herb, but there is no way that TMIII should be on the bench for so long

Trey played 34 minutes last night. He got minutes he wasn’t on the bench our lineups were just still not what they need to be

Like I said some of that had to do with JV fouls, and more still with Nance and Zeller injuries, but just go small and double

Throwing our 4th string center out there on an island against Sengun is just an unconscionable decision

There comes a time when hes just not learning. At the post presser, hes blaming the players and saying rockets are a tougher team. No they’re a smarter team with a smarter head coach. We have JRE and Dyson playing clutch minutes and clanking threes. Thats on Willie- get SMARTER WILLIE!

The fact that we didn’t attempt even once to go small and double with JV out is just astounding to me

Willie just doesn’t think outside the box. For him a bigger guy means rebounding and defense. He thinks going small isn’t worth it and he is absolutely wrong.

Willie isn’t perfect, but if our generational talent would occasionally be in shape and play defense, we’d probably be 22-8 and there would be no conversation about Willie.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case and Willie almost has to coach perfectly to offset our best player kind of playing like a lazy bum most games. And Willie is not ready to coach perfectly yet.

I did not mind JRE minutes throughout the game but to close the 4th with him instead of Herb was ridiculous.

I disagree with this notion that this is on Zion. The guy was dominating last night. 18 points at half. Even generational talents need good coaching to be great- ask Lebron, Curry or Giannis. Frankly, hes not generational and thats ok.

Its not about Willie being perfect. We’re asking him to be average. Hes is really bad strategicallt, rotations and ATOs. Willie is far from perfect, the guy when it comes to in game adjustments isn’t even average.

It's clear that Trey has to be in the starting lineup he is the puzzle piece that makes everything work. This team always gets off to slow starts and one of the few times we got off to a quick start was the Cavs game when Trey started. Zion and Herb together in the starting 5 just doesn't work and your not going to have Zion come off the bench so Herb has to be the one. The problem is Willie will never do this as we saw last night the only person Willie would bench Herb for is JRE. But Griff is going have to step in a tell the staff Trey needs to start but I don't see him doing that either.

Is NBA basketball quite possibly the easiest sport to coach? I feel like it has to be one of the easiest. How do you end up with so many blunders?
