No, he hasn't done shite. Takes plays off, gets pushed around, can you name one thing he actually does?

Smith is playing like a mid 3* this year.

5. DL Dominick McKinley — LSU commit
Dominick McKinley, the new LSU commit, built on a strong Day 2 with an even better showing on Monday. McKinley used his outstanding bend and natural leverage to ignite several wins during Monday’s 1-on-1 period. The highlight came when he fired off the ball and forklifted Stanford signee Ziron Brown into the backfield. When McKinley is at his best, he’s proven to be a very tough matchup on the interior this week.

Maason Smith caused two Wingo sacks today. I like what I’m seeing from him.

I just wish he was an EE so the S&C staff could put some good muscle weight on him before the season. But if he’s looking this good vs top HS competition, maybe he can contribute as a rotation DT next season.

There was no hangover for McKinley after he flipped his pledge from Texas A&M to LSU as the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve. McKinley had a solid showing during 1-on-1s, winning three reps before picking up a sack in his team’s 11-on-11 session. He’s got the frame to be a true difference-maker in the SEC and looks to just be scratching the surface of his potential.

I'm hoping Maason's play is improving because he is getting confidence in going full speed on that rebuilt knee. That used to be the norm after an ACL repair. 1 year minimum and more like 1.5-2 years to get all good.

That seems to be the situation. He has slowly started to come around.
