Was that report a lie?

Last weekend LSU coaches and players were in Tampa preparing for the bowl game in addition to it being a dead period on the recruiting calendar where no face to face visits are allowed between recruit and coach. Dead period ends on Jan. 12th. Think this report is a fabrication.

ETA: Just to clarify a point above re: dead period. This current weekend is a "Quiet Period" for mid-year transfers only, which allows for face to face meetings on campus only. Hence the allowed visits this weekend for transfers.

The rumor was this weekend and no. He was in Oregon as originally reported. It was a baseless rumor.

Half truth he was on campus this week and in Oregon this weekend. It was not a baseless rumor.

Rather not lose another stud young receiver for one year in Stewart.

I like the room right now. Plenty of talent and it is staggered. Our top five will be Lacy, Hilton, Z Thomas, Sampson, and Anderson/Parker.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of adding a diva Evan Stewart.

So you don't want a first day draft pick Wr after we lose our top 2 guys in production? That's nuts dude.

Evan Stewart has some serious baggage. He quit on his team his senior year in high school and he quit on Aggy last year.

A dialed in, focused, hard working Evan Stewart is a no brainer. We just haven’t seen that guy enough.

He’ll have some explaining to do about his diva-like ways before a NFL team invests a 1st rounder on him.

Not one that is a headache and quit on his team.

I'll take a different receiver out the portal.
