They’re the best option on the market right now in the price range. We’re up to 17 now and have no issues. Get the right SD cards and get some way to power them besides AAs and you don’t have to worry about them at all, they just work.

I got one last year and never had any problems. It seemed a little more difficult to set up than other ones I’ve had, but I’m not very technical savvy.

I put a solar panel on mine and never installed a single battery for a year.

I have one that has been running trouble free year around since 2021. Know of a few people that have had similar success with them.
Definitely been worth it and if it breaks tomorrow I would be completely satisfied with how it’s performed.

Very pleased with mine. However they (or any) are not perfect. They will certainly not capture an image at times etc. Also make sure you do not try and overtighten an antenna on one by spinning the antenna round and round. Ooooooops.

I have 15, get the solar panels if you use them for more than a few weeks. Only had problems with one camera, and it was my fault, own 4 generations, and all are good for what I use them for, and got most all for $99.95 on sale which you can find in the off season, especially the older generations…

generally positive experience. I did have to send mine back to get the lens cleaned after water made its way inside and fogged it up.
I did take it half apart to see if I could clean it but stopped halfway there for fear I'd screw something up that was under warranty.

When I did take the back cover off I could see water corrosion on the circuit board right beside a cover screw hole. The cover has a gasket but the screws go through it and it just didn't seal around the screw.

They try to say the ONLY way water can get in is though user error via the antenna or battery door. Not true obviously if the whole thing splits apart and a gasket is what seals it.

Its a bit flawed that when the camera is pointing down the offending screw hole pockets in the back will fill with rainwater. And of course a lot of setups is with it pointing down. Then the water sits in those pockets until it evaporates. In the meantime it can work its way around the gasket/screw and into the case.

Anyway, I got it back from warranty real quick and put it back up and its been fine. I did recently fill the pockets with wax for extra insurance.

I've dealt w trail cameras since they came out. I've had two,new Reveal cameras for a year, they take good pictures, sometimes their sensitivities cause problems. "Still in warranty" One is giving me problems now, I had to take it down. Their service is questionable, lots of excuses, not much action. I put both cameras on the same tree, same spot, one took 10 pics, the other one took 50. They use 12 AA batteries. They wanted me to pay 31 bucks to ship it back for repairs, that pissed me off.
This topic reminded me, I sent them another email today.

I had 2 Gen 1 cameras go bad. Took advantage to get a discount replacement with a X Pro. Happy with it so far. I have a Wiseye too. It has been good as well.

I have four and have had great luck with them. I use lithium Energizer AA batteries and put fresh ones in the beginning of every season, and I haven’t had to replace any during the season. I use the batteries I take out for kids toys, remotes, etc.

I really like the app, especially the statistics section where I can analyze deer movement based on a variety of factors.

The stock antennas work good too. I’m use Verizon and in the woods I get maybe one bar LTE with my IPhone, but I have full bars on the cameras

Mind takes really good pictures, day and night, and my battery life (AA Lithium) has been stellar. Will likely deploy two more this season, unless my cousin sells my hunting spot.
