An NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions panel has ruled on a case involving Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, issuing a four-year show-cause order to the ex-Wolverines coach.
The case is not related to the alleged sign-stealing investigation that is ongoing and for which the Wolverines expect to formally receive a Notice of Allegations for soon.
Instead, this case involves Michigan and five individuals who currently or previously worked for the football program who earlier reached an agreement with NCAA enforcement staff on violations concerning both recruiting and coaching activities by non-coaching staff members that occurred within the football program.
As part of the agreement, Michigan agreed that it failed to properly monitor the football program.
However, Jim Harbaugh was not part of an earlier agreement that allowed some parties to the case to immediately begin serving their penalties. Harbaugh’s part and consequence were revealed on Wednesday.

That's about the length of time Harbaugh wears out his welcome at a place.

I'm sure Jimmy is devastated

So the sign stealing level 1 violations is almost certainly lack of institutional control.
Couldn't happen to a more arrogant program.

Why just 4 years? So once he's burned out with the Chargers, he'll have no problem going back to college

They won their championship and don’t have any long term fallout from the cheating, I’m sure they don’t care.

NOA hasn't been sent from the cheating.

So the punishment is partially because Harbaugh didn’t fully cooperate and made misleading/false statements. But he’s clearly telling the truth when he’s saying he was oblivious to the sign stealing scheme.

I'm already prepping to hang the banner when their wins are vacated.

At least U of M wasn't covering for a spousal abuser like OSU did with Zach Smith

Again, who cares!
Every single school was violating COVID rules in place at the time

Agreed, I hope Michigan sues the pants off the NCAA for this or gets an injunction it just seems like the NCAA is targeting Michigan and Harbaugh for something and hoping it sticks and Michigan won't challenge them over it. I'm not a Michigan fan but the hypocrisy from the other fanbases over this is hilarious.

Talk about something totally irrevelant. Harbaugh is living in San Diego and coaching the Chargers. And if he ever did want to entertain the idea of going back to college, this show cause will be long passed

Cover up?
They fired Smith. Urban and the AD were then suspended.
Are you dumb?
