I was unsure how they'd handle season 2 so it's probably for the best. If they are gonna do a Darth Plagueis show it should be called something else.

Maybe next time they'll actually do a show based on the initial premise of the show: which was a show about the Sith's workings before the Phantom Menance.
We basically got one episode worth of that out of an 8 episode season. Hopefully they learn from this...but they probably won't.

Glad that Disney canned The Acolyte. Here's an easy pivot - develop a 2 season series set 20-30 years before Phantom Menace that focuses on Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Count Dooku, and Palpatine. Don't overthink it and try to subvert the overall storyline by making the Jedi the real bad guys. Don't give full creative control to a woke provocateur like Leslye Headland. Put it under Filoni & Favreau's purview (or, better yet, Tony Gilroy and Diego Luna if they are up for more Star Wars).
The only aspect of The Acolyte worth preserving - make the series' fight coordinator the all-time Lightsaber guy for all Star Wars content. That dude is legit.
