I've been very happy with this Tramontina set.

I even bought a couple extra pieces from Amazon. Trick is to get a little heat in them before adding your proteins.

I'm now a firm believer in Stainless Steel cookware, but it's got to be stuff with a nice heavy bottom to better distribute the heat and not those cheap, thin bottom pans that will tend to scorch stuff.

I've been through at least 4 sets of that aluminum cookware coated with the non-stick coating and they ALWAYS have the coating wear off in time-----and naturally, it's always the pots you use the most.

Four years ago I went SS and haven't looked back and know they will last long after I'm worm food.

I only have a couple aluminum pans with the non-stick coating----one small one for doing eggs over easy and one large pan for doing pancakes and large omelets.

We have Made-In non-stick coated stainless and it's absolutely amazing.

We have the Sam's version of the Tramontina set and it's been wonderful. We use Stainless Steel or Cast Iron only.

Hey man, if you want some high quality cookware. Head over to places like TJ Max, maybe Marshall's or places like those. Alot of times you can get individual pieces marked waaaay down.

All Clad

Someone recommended this to me a few years back. They have these on discount a couple times a year. I think I paid $299 for the set.

Why do you assume the thinness of the pan increases scorching? I would think this could be controlled by adjusting heat.

I've been very happy with this Tramontina set.

I bought a small set of Tramontina stainless pots when I was an undergrad in about 1986, and I still use the sauce pans and their lids. Recently I bought a two-pack of Tramontina sauté pans at Costco, and they are solid, and even better than my old pans from the 80s.

Tramontina is inexpensive but they perform perfectly and last forever.

That said, my next stainless pan need is a 3 quart saucier, and Tramontina doesn’t make one. I’m looking hard at the Made In. That’s a pretty pan.

Just bought one of their 3 quart sauce pans on sale. $34 I think. Very nice pan for the price.

Would be good if they made a saucier.
