I've really enjoyed the several I've read recently, specifically those set in Florida, SC, Gulf Coast, Caribbean, Bahamas.
Jackpot was a great one about a group of smugglers in SC. Smuggler's End too about Barry Seal.

I enjoyed "The Snakehead" about Chinese smuggling of people into the country ....
Don Winslow's "The Power of the Dog" certainly would have elements of drug smuggling

Don Winslow wrote a trilogy about the war on drugs and the drug trade. It's a gritty series and very readable. As JE noted anove, it touches on drug smuggling.
I enjoy Winslow's writing style. He moves the plot along. They lend themselves well to audiobooks while driving.

Snakehead was fantastic, thanks! Fascinating story and incredibly relevant since I'd imagine a lot of those smuggling routes are still active today.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one, surprised they have made a movie. Bowden’s Pablo Escobar book -Killing Pablo- was excellent as well.

When Money Grew On Trees - David Mac
More about marijuana cultivation than strictly about smuggling but same wheelhouse.

Smuggler by Roger Reaves is fantastic. Dude smuggled a bunch of stuff, got shot at, sent to prison, escaped, then rinse and repeat. He wrote the book while in prison.

Has anyone read The Dope: The Real History of the Mexican Drug Trade.
It looks interesting and I'd be fascinated to it read it. It seems to have plenty of good reviews so seeing if there's an opinion on here.

The title escapes me, but I could have sworn I had a book about cocaine smuggling, and there were picture of the Bush boys unloading Barry Seal’s plane.
