I am tired of seeing a massive season-ending injury every weekend to a critical player

At some point, we are not the same team anymore when you lose a John Emery, Guillory, and a Harold Perkins? These are significant impact players, and this attrition will lead to more lost football games, especially if this continues.
I hate snakebit seasons, and this one feels that way already. I know injuries are part of the game, but this is the worst I can remember. Losing K'lavon Chaisson in game 1 against Miami in 2018 also made me always wonder how much better our defense could've been if he was on the field.

Is it bad luck maybe if 1 or 2...3 already makes you wonder about conditioning/coaching?

Having consistent top 10 recruiting classes should buffer this issue compared to average programs (a little bit different now w/ the portal). Next man up with the talent we have shouldn’t have us fall off cliffs even with big injuries like this. We still have 4 and 5 stars all over the field. Coach and develop them correctly and we win

Losing football players to injury happens to everyone. You just follow LSU closely so you see it happen to us the most.
Guillory was a loss, but Emery and Perkins aren’t season changing losses by any stretch.

Better teams have good players in the 2 deep that can step in and fill those voids. We used to be one of those teams but not anymore.

At some point? That point has past.
They’ve lost their best DL, RB and LB before October 1. Long term, it should help develop young talent and I don’t believe this was a playoff team anyway so it doesn’t bother me but yeah, they’re starting 11 has taken significant hits.

We all are, but as you said, injuries happen.
2012 is about the worst I can remember, that team may have won the natty with just a little better luck on the injury front. Let alone the other “personnel issues” with guys like Tyrann, Alex Hurst and Tahj Jones. Still my biggest what if team of recent times.

2nd best DL, 3rd best RB and 3rd best linebacker. No need to be dramatic.

Please tell me the DT LSU has thats better than Guillory?

2nd best DL,
Probably 1b but that is fairly accurate

3rd best RB
Looked to be our best but there was not enough data to tell. At minimum, he was our second-best.

3rd best linebacker
Probably 2nd best in terms of performance, but our linebackers have been a bright spot on this team. He is the best in terms of potential, he either needs to learn or execute his assignments better.

No need to be dramatic.
No need to be hyperbolic either.

Don’t forget Hilton hasn’t seen the field yet because of injuries and Zy Alexander gets hurt every game.

These aren’t lingering hammy’s and out of shape injuries. These are ligament and tendon injuries and unfortunately, that’s just part of the game.

No not doesn’t. Coaching/conditioning isn’t preventing an ACL read when the knee bends the wrong way.
What an idiotic post.

What makes you think we lost our best RB??

No one is promised tomorrow.... in football and in life.

The same thing has been happening for years. This isn’t new. It’s happened to plenty of other teams too. It’s just part of the game.
