1st Bow hunt of the year!

I just got settled for the evening. Drizzled as I walked across the pasture. 73 degrees but wind is still. Hopefully the tall and wide I saw Friday morning shows up! Chipmunks and squirrels are catching my eye and a big woodpecker wearing a tree out behind me!

I see Pulaski - private land? I've thought about checking out the small WMA areas close to Alabama, it's barely an hour from me. Terrain looks like fun though.

My wife’s family farm. We moved to the property August a year ago from North Alabama. Did a lot of hunting at Wheeler Wildlife and Bankhead National Forest.

Bow hunted next to Flint Creek off Red Bank Road. Got lucky twice there. They would get careless when the oaks were dropping acorns. Walk in with a climber was the trick.

Next weekend should be tropical rain in SELA. Perfect weather for bow hunting.

Good luck! I've killed a couple of nice deer in Pulaski. Love the area and am currently looking for a chunk of land up that way. I'm just south in Athens. BIL used to have access to hunt a farm up there and I went with him a few times.
