Never going to happen with Mahershala Ali. He's already too old and his star has faded dramatically since he was announced as Blade.

I'd be ok with that potentially going that way after another Blade movie (given Snipes age).
I thought the comic had an interesting premise for her that her powers are time-limited and randomly come and go (only at full strength at night). And that would allow the mentorship of her Dad.

Snipes barely cared when he did it in his late prime, I think the Deadpool cameo was more of a funny thing for him than anything else. Didn't have to carry a move, got to make a joke at the characters expense, and wasn't really asked to do much for a payday.

I don't think those were rumors but intentional leaks. Blade was essentially a background character in the movie that dies in the 3rd act and it was a GIRL POWER movie. They scrapped that thank god
