Thinking of going to the Spoke and Hub on Saturday for the first time. Any thoughts? Opinions? Reviews?

Thanks.

Their bar is expensive but has good cocktails. Food is average and overpriced. You're paying for the mediocre diner aesthetic.

No good.

Went with a group of 6 people last year and it was a nightmare. Never again.

You are better off going down the road to Elsies, Rocca, or Soji.

If you want a great cocktail though, go to the speakeasy located right behind Spoke and hub.

Only went once and I thought the food was descent. The hash puppies( yes hash) appetizer is pretty good. as was my chicken fried biscuit.

Used to be a spot I'd go to once every couple of months, but the last time we went it was a nightmare. I feel like they fell off pretty bad.

Our server was on drugs (not totally the restaurants fault) and was absolutely horrible. Orders wrong, drinks forgotten, etc.
To the fault of the restaurant, they were missing almost every beer on tap that was on their menu. I order a menu item to eat and it was missing one of the ingredients that they said after the fact that they were out of. (This is restaurants fault).

It's ok. The menu is weird. Good breakfast options, and they are open early. usually pretty crowded for the breakfast/brunch crowd.

I've been a handful of times. I've had one below-average encounter, now granted I have not been in 6-8 months, so idk how it is currently. The food is solid but not spectacular and they have some pretty good drinks.

Have gone for brunch and for lunch. Service was awful each time. Had issues getting seated with numerous tables open. Food took FOREVER. Haven’t been back and no plans. Just go across the street to superior. You know what you’ll get there.
